Tom Dorsey, President
Tom Dorsey co-founded Dorsey, Wright & Associates in 1987 and continues to serve as President. Mr. Dorsey is the author of Point & Figure Charting: The Essential Application for Forecasting and Tracking Market Prices, Thriving as a Broker in the 21st Century and Tom Dorsey’s Trading Tips: A Playbook for Stock Market Success.
He has been a regular guest on Fox’s “Cavuto on Business” and “Bulls & Bears” programs, and frequently speaks to audiences worldwide on topics related to the stock market, technical analysis, and Relative Strength investing.
Mr. Dorsey is a recipient of the Wharton School of Finance Securities Industry Association’s “Distinguished Speaker Award.” He was also named Alumni of the Year 2000 for Virginia Commonwealth University and was granted the Citizens Community Award from Governor Charles Robb.
Tammy F. Derosier, Executive Vice President
As the Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Derosier oversees the day-to-day functions of DWA. Mrs. DeRosier joined Dorsey Wright in 1988 as an analyst and is now the operational leader of the company.
Her responsibilities include research development, strategic planning, and third-party relationships. In addition, Tammy is the leader of DWA's educational arm, where she coordinates webinars, seminars, and the company's broker institutes.
Mrs. Derosier is co-author of Tom Dorsey's Trading Tips and Commodity Strategies, and has appeared on CNBC's "Talking Stock." Mrs. DeRosier is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Sociology.
Susan L. Morrison, Senior Vice President
Ms. Morrison is the Chief Investment Officer for DWA. She joined Dorsey, Wright & Associates in 1987 as an investment analyst and today is the driving force of our research. Ms. Morrison oversees production of the firm's published research reports, including the "Daily Equity & Market Analysis Report" and the "DWA Equity Roster."
Susan has also been instrumental in the development and management of the firm's guided ETF models and, along with James Ball, developed the Dynamic Asset Level Investing (DALI) tool. She is a co-author of two of Mr. Dorsey's books. Ms. Morrison graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Economics.
James C. Ball, Senior Vice President
Mr. Ball is the Chief Technology Officer for DWA. He joined Dorsey Wright in 1990 after working in the Taxable Fixed Income department at Paine Webber. As CTO, he is responsible for all of DWA's technology platforms, including the research database, website, data center, and the proprietary analytical tools developed by DWA.
Mr. Ball co-developed the DALI program with Susan Morrison, and was solely responsible for the creation of the "RS Matrix” concept, which has become a key element in the Company's research strategy.
James is a co-author of Tom Dorsey's Trading Tips. Mr. Ball is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Michael J. Moody, CMT, SVP, and Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Moody joined Dorsey Wright Money Management in 1994. As Senior Portfolio Manager, he is responsible for investment strategy across DWA's funds, ETFs, and SMA accounts. Prior to joining Dorsey Wright, Mr. Moody worked for Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Moody is a frequent speaker on the subject of technical analysis and has provided commentary for national media such as Investor's Business Daily and Financial News Network/CNBC.
He served on the board of the Market Technicians Association, and is the former editor of the Journal of Technical Analysis. He has also authored several original research papers on technical analysis. Mr. Moody holds a B.A. from Pitzer College with a dual degree in Psychology and English.
Harold B. Parker, Jr. CMT, SVP and Senior Porfolio Manager
Mr. Parker joined Dorsey Wright Money Management in 1994. As Senior Portfolio Manager, he is responsible for investment strategy across DWA's funds, ETFs, and SMA accounts.
Mr. Parker began his investment career with E. F. Hutton & Co. in 1978 and later moved to Smith Barney. Mr. Parker was one of the original portfolio managers of Smith Barney's Portfolio Management (PM) Program, which provided discretionary institutional portfolio management.
He has also authored several original research papers on technical analysis. Mr. Parker graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Agricultural Science and Management.
